Austin Rhodes, PhD — Statistical Consultant

Austin is a pragmatic consultant who strives to balance sound statistical practice with solutions that are appropriate to the context of each project he is involved in. Austin is firmly committed to the idea of presenting statistical results in a way that’s clear and insightful for non-statisticians, empowering them to make confident data-driven decisions.

Austin has more than eight years of experience as a consulting statistician within the animal health industry, where his primary focus was on experimental design for non-clinical and diagnostics R&D efforts. Prior to his time in biotechnology, he worked as a statistical subject matter expert within the fields of aerospace engineering and petroleum additives. He has taught numerous introductory statistics courses throughout his time in graduate school and industry.

Austin holds a master's degree in statistics from the University of Virginia and a PhD in statistics from Virginia Tech.
